PCT Multiplexing Technology

PCT Multiplexing Technology

PCT Incorporates a direct method for bonding the transducers intimately to the quartz process vessel or bulk head plate. This method produces a highly efficient energy transfer system that supplies even sound waves to the product area.

PCT delivers the maximum acoustical streaming effect because of continious bursts of energy.

PCT allows for the maximum in micro – cavitation because the multiplexing technology allows for regassification of the chemistry.

As the beam moves to the next position gasified chemical is allowed back to fill the vacated area.

PCT delivers the power required to push the large bubbles out of the micro –cavitation area. With the multiplexing beams power of 45 watt /inch2,   large bubbles are pused out of beams cleaning area.

PCT Multiplexing Technology has no cancellation effect caused by turning on multiple transducers at the same time.

Key Factors of Megasonics cleaning

Acoustical Streaming Effect

Acoustical streaming happens when the piezo is fired and the sound wave moves through the liquid media. The acoustical streaming effect is the strongest  when the piezo is first fired.

As the sound wave travels it takes the molecules at the product’s liquid solid interface and moves them.  This is done with enough  power to break the force holding the particles on the wafer surface.

After the particle is pushed away it moves into the SC1solution.

Micro-cavitation Effects

Micro-cavitation takes place in high frequency acoustic systems. The expansion and contraction of a bubble near the surface of a substrate can have a scrubbing effect. Additionally, small bubble scatter sound waves and generate localized currents and vortices which contribute to particle removal.
